Pfizer gets ‘greenlight’ to provide COVID-19 vaccine for 12 to 16-year-olds

Sky News host Peter Gleeson says Australia’s drug regulator has “greenlighted” the Pfizer vaccine to be made available to children aged 12-16 years.

This comes as a News Corp exclusive reveals Australia’s drug regulator, the Therapeutic Goods Administration, approved Pfizer’s application for a license to provide its COVID vaccine to youth.

“Kids in Australia are set to get the jab with the countries drug regulator greenlighting COVID-19 vaccination for children young as 12,” Mr Gleeson said.

“The Therapeutic Goods Administration will today announce it has approved Pfizer’s application for a license for its vaccine to be given to children aged 12-16 years.

“Health Minister Greg Hunt will make that particular announcement first thing in the morning.”
