Police detained 14 protesters on Monday in the center of the British capital to protest the coronavirus restrictions. On his Twitter page, Scotland Yard also informed that three police officers were slightly injured during clashes with protesters, Trend reports citing TASS.
“While providing law enforcement at today’s demonstration in Westminster, police officers detained 14 people. Three police officers were injured, however, fortunately, their injuries are not serious,” the capital’s law enforcement officials said. It is noted that some of the protesters, who marched along the government street Whitehall, tried to block traffic, violated public order and showed aggression towards the police.
Several hundred people took part in the demonstration, which called on Londoners to stop obeying government restrictions, according to British media reports.
