Cates, the daughter of Scottish footballing legend Kenny Dalglish, already had nine penalty points on her driving license.

These were for speeding offences in November, 2018 and April and December, 2019.

Today’s additional three points triggered an automatic six-month ban under the totting rules.

Cates admitted she doesn’t think men will find her attractive due to her weight and age.

Speaking to fellow sports host Gabby Logan on The Mid Point podcast in March, she said: ‘I don’t have a picture in my head of why a middle-aged, slightly overweight, mother-of-two could possibly be attractive.

‘I can’t get my head around that. It’s not that I’m putting myself down, it’s not a lack of confidence or low self-esteem, it’s I just don’t know what that would look like.

‘I will not be writing my own bio on dating websites,’ she joked.
