A company producing Rust has revealed that the assistant director who caused a tragic accident while shooting the movie has been fired from another movie crew for violating gun safety rules.
And AFP quoted one of the producers as saying that assistant director Dave Hales, who handed a live-action pistol to actor Alec Baldwin, was removed from the production of “Freedom’s Path” in 2019 after a crew member was slightly injured by spontaneous shooting from a weapon used during Photography.
He added that Hals was removed from the studio immediately, and did not resume production of the film until after his expulsion at the time.
It is noteworthy that a tragic accident occurred during the filming of the movie “Rust” directed by Joel Sousa last Thursday, in which photographer Galina Hutchins was shot dead by mistake by the famous actor Alec Baldwin, who was told that the gun was loaded with pellets.
