The Attorney General’s Office agreed with the Federal Police in a statement sent to the Supreme Court about deputy Daniel Silveira (PSL-RJ) having committed the crime of contempt against a public official during his arrest in February.
To the STF, the deputy attorney general of the Republic, Humberto Jacques, asked for a fine for civil damages to be agreed with the victim, expert Lilian Vieira, and an agreement to exchange restrictive measures for the payment of R$38,500.
The demonstration was in the investigation to investigate the facts that occurred on the night of February 16 at the Legal Medical Institute of Rio de Janeiro.
Silveira discussed with an expert who indicated the need for using a mask at the site.
The deputy was taken to the IML after being arrested by the PF for recording a video with accusations against STF ministers.
To be entitled to the agreement, the congressman must present his criminal certificates and prove that he has not been sentenced to prison in the last five years.
The PGR also asks for the filing of the investigation into a possible sanitary crime against Silveira for not wearing a mask for a period when she was at the IML.
In the final report of the investigation, the PF had concluded that the “use of offensive expressions” by the deputy in his discussion with the expert “turned out to disrespect the civil servant”.
