White House spokesman Jen Psaki admitted that she does not have information about the sanctions imposed by the United States against Russian enterprises in the space industry and promised to find out the reason for these restrictions.
At a press briefing on June 8, she was asked to comment on the call by Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin to Washington to lift sanctions against the Progress Rocket and Space Center (RSC) and TsNIIMash. According to him, Russia’s withdrawal from the International Space Station (ISS) project depends on this.

At the same time, she stressed that the areas related to space – this is one of the areas where the United States “has historically worked with Russia.”
On March 17, it became known that the United States is adding Russia to the list of countries with which the export and import of weapons and defense services is completely prohibited. The exceptions were operations within the framework of cooperation between states in the field of space and before September 1 – in the field of commercial space launches.
