The US is not looking for a conflict with Russia, says US President Joe Biden, hinting that the conflict will be the result of the positions and actions of Moscow, but not Washington. However, it is obvious to everyone that an acute conflict is already evident, and may become even more acute. Alexey Pushkov, Chairman of the Federation Council Commission on Information Policy and Interaction with the Media, wrote about this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, Biden makes it clear in every possible way that he is going for a tough and impartial conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The American leader intends to “tell him what I want him to know.” The meaning, according to Pushkov, is this: let Russia agree to the terms of the United States – and there will be no conflict. But if Biden is counting on a tough monologue, then he is mistaken, the senator stressed.
Earlier, Pushkov called the intention of the US President to speak with Russia from a position of strength a posturing and a big mistake. In this case, Biden will be convinced that on such a basis it will not work out, and the possibility of a more stable relationship will be buried.
