– Many good proposals have been received, and we are very pleased with all the exciting candidates who have been proposed for this year’s awards. Tonight we were left with three exciting and talented candidates in each category, says general manager Jon Uthus.

The start-up prize was awarded by DNB and is worth NOK 20,000. A number of nominations came in and the jury had no easy task in finding three finalists, and of these, a winner. The nominees were Gytis Autek, Rypetoppen Adventurepark Meråker and Stebo Husvogner

– Entrepreneurship is demanding! Being an entrepreneur requires energy, enthusiasm, courage, willpower and it offers both renunciations and worries. Not everyone can fix being an entrepreneur, and we shouldn’t expect that either. But when we know how important entrepreneurs are, we believe that we owe entrepreneurs a big thank you – for them going this long and difficult way, says bank manager Jon-Roar Langørgen at DNB Stjørdal’s corporate market.

This year’s winner has been innovative and found creative solutions to achieve their goals. The company’s products are unique, and comparable operations have not been seen in the region. The winner has shown that the idea has good potential for financial results and growth and has created important jobs in their municipality. The winner is now well into its growth phase and has shown that the basic idea certainly had something going for it. The turnover is now in the double-digit millions.

– We see a clear potential for further growth, the customer base is expanding nationally, but the business is firmly rooted in the Værnes region, says Langørgen.

#ungkraft – winners

Gjensidige Stjørdal handed out a gift card of NOK 5,000 to the winner Metra Gul Hussein, while Ylva-Li Næss and Sebastian Heggli each received a gift card of NOK 2,500.

Service company of the year

Service company of the year was Brit’s underwear salon, which eventually ran away with the victory ahead of Vikans Blomster and La Donna Frisør.
