Eugenie has written an emotional message on her Instagram account after Beatrice and husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi welcomed their first child. The 31-year-old congratulated Beatrice on her “new angel” and revealed she “can’t wait to meet her”.

Eugenie also wrote a separate note addressed to the newest royal addition and signed it off with “love your Auntie Euge”

She said: “To my dearest Beabea and Edo. Congratulations on your new angel. I can’t wait to meet her and I’m so proud of you.

“We’re going to have so much fun watching our children grow up. Love Euge.”

Eugenie added: “To my new niece. I love you already and think you’re just awesome from the photos… we’re going to have so much fun together.

Beatrice gave birth to a girl, weighing 6lb 2oz, at 11.42pm on Saturday at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Monday afternoon.

In an official statement, the Palace said the grandparents and great-grandparents were “delighted”.

Princess Eugenie has laid bare the “lovely moment” when her baby son August met his late great-grandfather Prince Philip for the first time.

Princess Eugenie, 31, has revealed the heartfelt moment her now eight-month old son met his late great-grandfather Prince Philip before his death earlier this year.

The Duke of Edinburgh passed away in April at the age of 99.

Eugenie said: “I brought little August to come and meet him.

“I told him that we’d named him after him. It was such a lovely moment.”

Sarah Ferguson is said to be “over the moon” after her daughter Princess Beatrice gave birth to a baby girl.

Fergie returned from Balmoral in Scotland on Friday and was introduced to the newest addition to the family over the weekend.

5.40pm update: Buckingham Palace shouldn’t be made into a public museum, royal fan poll finds

Prince Charles has plans to turn Buckingham Palace into a public museum, an idea which his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, is said to be “not keen on”. asked readers if they agreed with Her Majesty – and the response was a resounding yes.

Buckingham Palace should not be turned into a museum, according to 77 percent of votes in a poll of 1600 people held between 2pm Saturday, September 18 and 9am Monday, September 20.

Only 343 respondents (21 percent) expressed their favour for the idea, while two percent of voters were undecided.

The move to open up the palace is set to be part of a set of visionary plans for a shake-up of the Royal Family from Prince Charles, first in line for the throne, for when he becomes leader.

Prince William reflected on the experiences made by Prince Philip in an upcoming documentary dedicated to the late Duke of Edinburgh.

Prince William is among the royals to have taken part in a BBC documentary honouring the life and legacy of Prince Philip.

The Duke of Cambridge, one of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh’s eight grandchildren, can be seen pointing out just how pivotal have been the experiences and adventures made by Prince Philip in his life.

In a brief clip shared by Kensington Palace on Twitter ahead of the broadcasting of the documentary, William said: “All of us are shaped by our experiences.

“Imagine the experiences that shaped him. The amount he’s seen is not to be sniffed at.”

Pippa Middleton has been seen for the first time since her brother’s secret wedding in the South of France.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s younger sister was pictured enjoying a stroll in the London sunshine on Saturday afternoon.

The 38-year-old stunned in a white knitted jumper, grey jeans and a pair of Jimmy Choo trainers as she took a walk near her home in Chelsea.

Her appearance in the capital came a week after the Middletons and the Cambridges travelled to France for a lavish wedding.

James Middleton tied the knot with fiancée Alize Thevenet in the rural village of Bormes-les-Mimosas on Saturday, September 11.

Princess Beatrice has given birth to her first child in the same hospital in which her brother-in-law’s father’s life was saved, reports show.

Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have welcomed a baby girl into their family, it has been announced.

The Queen‘s granddaughter gave birth to a baby girl on Saturday, weighing 6lb 2oz, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. 

Chelsea and Westminster hospital is one of the more glamorous NHS hospitals, with a catalogue of famous names having been born there including Holly Willoughby, Amanda Holden and Claudia Winkelman.

It often also sees wealthy patients and, sometimes, barons, like Beatrice’s sister’s father-in-law, George Brooksbank.

Mr Brooksbank, Jack Brooksbank’s father, was admitted to the hospital last year after contracting COVID-19.

2.30pm update: Charles delights royal fans with hilarious throwback clip of Philip

Prince Charles has delighted royal fans with a hilarious throwback clip of Prince Philip ahead of a new documentary.

Members of the Royal Family share personal tributes to the Duke of Edinburgh in a BBC One film which airs on Wednesday.

Ahead of the one-hour programme, a throwback clip of Philip was posted on the Prince of Wales’s Clarence House Twitter account.

The video shows the Duke, dressed in a suit and sunglasses, on a tricycle.

Charles says: “One thing my father did, he was marvellous at arranging silly games. The fun of having young parents, there was lots of chasing around and mad things.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been warned to “re-think strategy” over Netflix and Spotify deals by a royal expert.

Royal reporter for NBC News, Neil Sean spoke about the deals in his latest Youtube video.

He said: “Now Harry and Meghan’s programming for Netflix and indeed Spotify, wants to really embrace more empathy, more wokeness if you like.

“But in this fast-moving world, and particuarly in the world of TV, Harry and Meghan have been told to basically re-think their strategy as to what the public would want to watch.”

1.30pm update: Beatrice’s sweet nod to stepson in statement announcing baby girl

Princess Beatrice made a sweet nod to her stepson as she announced the arrival of her baby girl.

The Queen’s granddaughter, 33, gave birth to her first child on Saturday at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London.

Beatrice is already a stepmother to her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s young son Wolfie.

In a statement, Buckingham Palace said the couple were looking forward to introducing their daughter to Wolfie, who Beatrice referred to as her “bonus son” earlier this year.

12pm update: Anne opens up about Philip quip while fishing in new documentary

Princess Anne has spoken of a poignant moment with her father in a teaser clip for the new documentary Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers set to air on the BBC this Wednesday.

The teaser clip starts with a reflection from Prince Charles. He says: “One thing my father did, he was marvellous at arranging silly games. I mean, the fun of having young parents was that there was lots of chasing around, and mad things.”

The clip then went on to the Princess Royal, she said: “We used to fish in Loch Muick, I always said that I couldn’t catch anything and he said nonsense, come with me.

“After I had been casting for about half an hour he said ‘I see what you mean.’ And I just knew it was never something I could do.”

The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are to join Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall next week in a rare – and star-studded – joint engagement.

9.45am update: Camilla ‘couldn’t get out of bed’ ahead of nuptials with Charles

The Duchess of Cornwall “couldn’t get out of bed” ahead of her nuptials with Prince Charles.

In the run-up to her wedding, Camilla was reportedly suffering from a bout of sinusitis so serious it left her friends worrying whether she should be able to walk down the aisle.

Moreover, royal biographer Penny Junor claims Camilla was also “terrified”.

The expert wrote in Vanity Fair in 2018: “It was nerves more than sinusitis that kept her under the covers. She was terrified”.

9am update: George won’t follow in William’s footsteps with school decision

Prince George won’t follow in his father Prince William’s footsteps by going to boarding school full-time, according to a royal expert.

Duncan Larcombe told OK! magazine: “It’s my understanding [that] for some time, possibly even before George was even born, was that William was quite keen that any child he had wouldn’t be packed off to boarding school.

“Eton for William and Harry wasn’t an unhappy time, apart from the fact it was when their mother died, which means William doesn’t blame the school or the experience of boarding.

“But he’s never intended to have his kids as full-time boarders and if George does go to a school that offers it, he’ll likely be a day boarder.”

8.20am update: Beatrice royal baby announcement could be ‘imminent’ as she rushes to ‘hospital’

Princess Beatrice’s baby announcement could be imminent as the royal reportedly rushes to hospital, according to an expert.

Royal author Robert Jobson tweeted on Sunday morning speculating that the birth of the Queen’s 12th great grandchild was “imminent”.

The royal expert said: “Princess Beatrice is reportedly in a London hospital. Looks like the birth of The Queen’s 12th great-grandchild imminent.”

8.05am update: Queen to split time between Windsor and London

The Queen will resume hosting events at Buckingham Palace to show taxpayers their money was “well-spent” on renovating the London residence, royal expert Nick Bullen said.

Speaking to Royally US, Mr Bullen said: “I think she’ll definitely be at Buckingham Palace a lot more.

“She loves Windsor Castle, she’d want to be at Windsor Castle but it’s only 40 minutes down the road from Buckingham Palace. It’s really close.

“Buckingham Palace is the seat of the monarchy, there was a huge £350-360 million refurbishment going on there.

“So she’ll want to show people that money is being well-spent. You’ll see her back at Buckingham Palace for all the investitures, having meetings, hosting dinners, staying there occasionally.”

7.45am update: Harry reveals Philip’s characteristically blunt words as he headed to Afghanistan

Prince Harry has told how the Duke of Edinburgh sent him off to war in Afghanistan with the heartfelt plea: “Make sure you come back alive.”

He reveals the moving moment with Prince Philip, who served with distinction in the Second World War, in a BBC documentary due to air this week.

Harry said: “Going off to Afghanistan, he was very-matter-of-fact and just said, ‘Make sure you come back alive.’

“Then, when I came back, there wasn’t a deep level of discussion, more a case of, ‘Well, you made it. How was it?’

“That’s how he was. He was very much a listener; he sort of set the scene for you to be able to share as much as you wanted to share. But he would never probe.”

7.30am update: Meghan and Harry’s Time cover brutally mocked as ‘a bunch of old dudes’ chose Sussexes

A royal commentator has dismissed claims from fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that their inclusion in the top Time 100 list shows they are popular in America.

Royal blogger Kinsey Schofield discussed Harry and Meghan being named among Time magazine’s most influential people with GB News’ Mark Dolan on Saturday evening.

Ms Schofield suggested that the inclusion was not a popularity contest, pointing out that no-one “voted for or chose” the cover stars of the magazine.

Instead, she claimed that it was “just a bunch of old dudes” who made the decision.
