The Saudi Ministry of Health announced (Thursday) that 902 new cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19) have been recorded, in the highest toll from the spread of the virus since August 2020, bringing the total cases in the country to 395,854 cases, including 7,468 active cases. She is still receiving much needed health care, including 874 critical cases.
The Saudi Health Ministry said that more than 44 percent of the new infections were recorded in the Riyadh region with 402 cases, followed by Makkah Al-Mukarramah with 163 cases and Eastern Province with 155 cases.
And the cases of recovery in the Kingdom rose to 381,658 cases, after 469 cases recovered.
With regard to deaths, the Ministry announced that it had increased to 6,728 deaths, after 9 cases were recorded during the past 24 hours.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance today closed 17 temporary mosques in 7 regions after confirming cases of Coronavirus among worshipers, bringing the total of what were closed within 60 days to 519 mosques, 490 of which were opened after the completion of sterilization and completion of readiness in the context of concern for safety The congregation.
The Ministry indicated that the closed mosques are 6 in the Riyadh region, 4 in the Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, two mosques in each of the Qassim and Tabuk regions, and one mosque in each of the Eastern and Najran regions and Al-Baha regions.
The Ministry indicated the reopening of 15 mosques, five in Al-Qassim region, three in Riyadh and Al-Sharqiya regions, two mosques in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region, and one mosque in Makkah Al-Mukarramah and Al-Jawf regions, after completing the precautionary measures of sterilization and maintenance.
