Saudi Minister of Industry: 70% of the products offered in stores are made in the Kingdom

Minister Al-Khorayef explained during his meeting with the Saudi “Al-Ikhbariya” channel, today, Saturday, that “the percentage of national products offered in some retail stores reaches 70%, and in some stores it reaches 80%,” noting that “most of them are food products.”
At the level of the pharmaceutical sector, Al-Khorayef affirmed that the Kingdom has a great capacity in the pharmaceutical and personal care products sector, and there is a plan to raise the proportion of national products to 50% in the “Al-Dawaa Company”.
He pointed out that there are partnerships between the ministry and stores to provide products, ensure the presence of manufacturers for products that may not be present in the Kingdom, strengthen the supply chain and provide distribution centers, which helps reduce costs.
