In 2021, more than 5 thousand parks, courtyards and other city objects were landscaped in the capital, according to the press service of the mayor and the Moscow Government.
“The Moscow Government reviewed a report on the results of work on creating a comfortable urban environment in 2021. A report was also heard on the preparation of the city for the heating winter period of 2021-2022. After a forced pause in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2021 the Moscow government continued to implement a comprehensive program to improve the quality and comfort of living in the city, ”the report says.
The main work of this year is the improvement of green areas, squares and streets, adjoining territories, the smooth operation of urban infrastructure, as well as maintaining cleanliness, environmental monitoring and environmental protection activities.
In 2021, the territories adjacent to 14 metro stations, bus routes in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky administrative areas, four MCD stations and seven noise barriers are being developed – in total, more than 5 thousand objects.
“Since 2011, the Moscow government has comprehensively improved 441 streets and public space with a total length of 337.7 km. In 2021, 21 urban objects received a new look, including: streets and embankments of the Balchug Island; Dmitrovsky lane, connecting st. Bolshaya Dmitrovka and Petrovka; section of Leninsky prospect from st. Kravchenko to MKAD (5 km); st. Krasnaya Presnya and Zvenigorodskoe highway to the Third Transport Ring (2.5 km); the territory adjacent to the center “My Work” opened in 2020 at the address: st. Shabolovka, 48 “, – the press service informs.
It is noted that in 2022, the improvement of 52 public spaces is planned, and since 2011, the city government has improved more than 886 “green” areas with a total area of 19.5 thousand hectares.
