ictoria Beckham has revealed a new round of Spice Girl merchandise to support the LGBTQ+ community and celebrate Pride month.
The former Spice Girl cleverly played off the name off the girl band’s hit single Wannabe for the iconic girl band’s offering, a charity t-shirt and purse, emblazoned with the words ‘Proud and Wannabe your lover’.
She said all profits from the tee will go to Albert Kennedy Trust to fund the “amazing” work they do to combat LGBQT+ youth homelessness in the UK.
Posting a picture on Instagram with all five original members wearing the T-shirt, Beckham wrote: “Pride to me is a celebration of being completely yourself and this year’s T-shirt is a reminder of that.
“The Spice Girls really championed accepting yourself and others, being kind, having fun and just living your best life!”
The 46-year-old revealed the girl group, made up of Geri Horner, Mel B, and Emma Bunton had the most “incredible” time last year when they did a nationwide arena tour – with Beckham missing from the line-up.
But Sporty Spice has said she will do “everything in her power” to get the Spice Girls back on the road.
Speaking on Lorraine, she explained: “It would be rude not to!
“We had the most incredible year last year, playing stadiums all across the UK and Ireland and we have got to do it again.
“We talk about it all the time.”
However, Mel C added that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has seen many artist delay tours, could see celebrations for the 25th anniversary put on hold.
