The Appeals Chamber of the Hague Tribunal Confirms Life Sentence to Former Commander of the Serb Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ratko Mladic… The corresponding decision was announced on Tuesday by the Appeals Chamber of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals.

Mladic was sentenced on November 22, 2017 by the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia to life imprisonment for genocide, crimes against humanity and violation of the laws and customs of war. He hid from international justice for almost 16 years, until he was arrested in Serbia in May 2011 and extradited to The Hague.
