The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan discussed the supply of vaccines from COVID-19 to the country

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Jyldyz Bakashova held a meeting on the supply of vaccines from COVID-19 to the country, Trend reports citing Kabar.

As Bakashova noted, a number of negotiations were held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen, the representative of the UN Children’s Fund in Kyrgyzstan Christine Zholme to assist in accelerating the delivery of Sinopharm vaccines to the republic.

“The parties confirmed their readiness to provide assistance in this matter. It is expected that in the near future the vaccine in the amount of 150 thousand doses will be delivered to the country. The Cabinet of Ministers and UNICEF are working on technical and financial issues related to the delivery of vaccines. At the same time, specialized government agencies are working on the delivery of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine. The corresponding financial resources have been allocated from the republican budget. The shipment of the vaccine will begin very soon, ”she said.

As a result of the meeting, the state bodies were given a number of instructions.

It should be noted that today the first stage of vaccination of the main planned priority group has been completed: medical workers from the risk group (intensive care units, infectious diseases departments, ambulance, red zone), social workers (employees of educational institutions), the population over 65 years old and people with chronic diseases.
