The challenge precedes the Red Sea fight

Jeddah witnessed the press conference for the Red Sea fight, which will be held on August 20, between Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk and former British title holder Anthony Joshua, in the presence of Deputy Sports Minister Badr Al-Qadi and Assistant Sports Minister Abdulelah bin Saad Al-Dallak.

During the conference, the two boxers showed their readiness for the historic fight, which is the second after the confrontation that brought the boxers together at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London last September, and ended with Ukrainian Usyk crowning the title.

“I am happy to be in the Kingdom, and we are here to represent our country, and I am also pleased with the sporting development that Saudi Arabia is witnessing, and the great reception that my team and I received, I am not a fan of media talk, but I assure you that my boxing will speak for me, and I am proud By representing my country Ukraine in this global event, I look forward to seeing all boxing fans on August 20th for a historic bout.”

For his part, the British Anthony Joshua expressed his happiness to return to the Kingdom, saying, “I am very happy to return to the Kingdom, in which I regained the title three years ago, during the historic Diriyah match, and I am striving to regain it again, but winning and losing are normal in sports in general. Boxing in particular, and it is necessary to have the right mindset to accept the loss, to learn and to try again.”
