The Kremlin denied what was reported that the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, canceled his attendance at the Petersburg International Economic Forum because it was not possible to hold a personal meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman for the Russian President, responded to a question about the reports that the Emir of Qatar did not come to the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, because it was not possible to agree on a personal meeting with the Russian President, by saying: “Of course not. You know that Some restrictions are still in force in various countries of the world, including here. These restrictions simply did not allow a full working visit to lead Qatar to the Russian Federation. As soon as conditions permit, such a visit will certainly take place.”
