The head of the Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, suggested that older doctors, who went into self-isolation due to COVID-19 and health risks, return to their jobs.
During a meeting of the State Duma Health Committee, he recalled that some of the older health workers at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, since measures were announced to isolate older people, retired.
“Today, vaccination helps protect life and health, so we offer to return to their jobs,” said Murashko, quoted by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Murashko reported about the highest burden on hospitals due to COVID-19. According to him, more than 1.1 million patients are currently undergoing treatment.
