The Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Kaluga Region, Vladimir Zhipa, signed an order according to which the natural park of the Goncharovs’ estate becomes a natural monument of regional significance. As reported on Tuesday, June 8, the press service of the department, the facility is located in the village of Silkovichi, Baryatinsky district.
The park of the Goncharovs’ estate in Silkovichi has an area of 7 hectares. It was defeated at the end of the 18th century. Once there was an old estate founded by the famous industrialist A.A. Goncharov.
The park is located on the banks of the Uzhat River and is a century-old linden avenue of more than 170 extant trees of an eight-meter-wide characteristic for that time. Many lime trees are more than two hundred years old.
