Russians of pre-retirement age can submit the necessary documents in advance for the appointment of a pension. This will allow avoiding possible mistakes when processing payments, the department of the Pension Fund of Russia in the Chechen Republic recalled.
“Most often, citizens pay attention to the state of their documents necessary for the appointment of a pension, immediately at the time of applying to the Pension Fund for the appointment of a pension. However, you need to think about the preparation of documents for a pension in advance,” the Pension Fund said.
To speed up and simplify the procedure for assigning a pension, you need to contact the client service of the territorial PFR Office at your place of residence. You can apply for five years (at least six months) before the onset of retirement age.
During this time, PFR specialists will send the necessary inquiries to former employers and archival institutions, as well as check the legal correctness of filling out the work book, certificates and other documents.
“As a result, by the day of retirement, your pension rights will be taken into account in full, which will allow you to assign a pension without a personal visit to the Pension Fund and as soon as possible,” the Pension Fund explained.
When contacting the FIU, you will need to present a passport, work book, birth certificates of children, marriage / divorce certificate (if the person changed their last name), military ID, education diploma (full-time) and other documents.
