A toddler who died after being struck by the family car has been remembered as a ‘darling girl’ as her relatives face ‘having to do the most indescribable thing’.
A toddler has died after being accidentally struck by the family car outside her Queensland home.
Alice Lambert was killed on Friday in Townsville, sparking an outpouring of grief.
Family friend Rochelle Magro has set up a GoFundMe page for the family, including Alice’s parents Maxine and Ben, as well as her siblings Axell and Summer.
Ms Magro described one-year-old Alice as a vibrant and beautiful little girl.
“With her big blue eyes and angelic smile, she was loved by all,” Ms Magro said.
“Darling girl had just started walking and taking on her curiosity of the world around her.
“Her mum and dad are such devoted and loving parents to all three children, and really make their little family such a desired unit of love.”
Ms Magro said Alice’s mother had only recently lost her own mum.
“As you could imagine, the family have been faced with so many financial hurdles to first bury their beautiful mother, to now having to do the most indescribable thing of burying their daughter,” she said.
“Any donation would be greatly appreciated so that the family, along with their suffering, don’t need to have the extra stress and worry about how to cover costs and continue supporting their family.”
More than $4000 has been raised for the family so far.
