The United Nations Office for Counter Terrorism and Training in Africa opened Rabat. This, as Trend reports with reference to TASS, the press service of the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and on the issues of Moroccans living abroad.
The opening ceremony was attended by Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Burita, foreign diplomats accredited in Rabat, heads of a number of government departments of the kingdom. The UN Deputy Secretary General, Head of the Organization’s Counter-Terrorism Directorate, Vladimir Voronkov, joined the event via video link.
“The Bureau will work on the design and implementation of programs aimed primarily at capacity building and professional development in the fight against terrorism, especially in the areas of security, investigation and prosecution, prison and border management, rehabilitation and community inclusion.
