US intelligence services are not yet able to accurately explain the nature of the origin of unidentified flying objects (UFOs), which were previously seen by the US military. This follows from the unclassified version of the report released on Friday, prepared by the staff of the US Director of National Intelligence for the US Congress.
The document is based on data collected by the US authorities on incidents that occurred between November 2004 and March 2021, the process of collecting and analyzing information is ongoing. “The limited number of high quality reports on unidentified aerial events precludes our ability to draw unambiguous conclusions about [их] nature or intent. <...> Most of the unidentified aerial phenomena are likely to be physical objects, given the fact that most <...> [из них] were recorded by several sensors, “the report says. Its authors note that” in a small number of cases “reported the” unusual flight characteristics “of the recorded objects. This, according to the US intelligence services, may be the result of sensor errors or erroneous data perception and requires additional analysis.
According to the authors of the report, there are several types of unidentified aerial phenomena. Potential explanations in Washington are proposed to be divided into five categories: air jamming, natural atmospheric phenomena, secret American developments, “systems of foreign adversaries.” US intelligence proposes to classify all “other” potential options in the fifth category.
